Just as I thought: gossip is not really bad. Awesome!
And I extrapolate that to support my theory that lying is not wrong. Gossip is a type of lie. I talk about someone behind their back and then smile at them, pretending. I lie. It is good.
Now, underlying behavior can be wrong, and that can encourage a coverup. The problem, however, is the bad behavior and not the lie.
And I have noticed that people who say lying is wrong always follow it up with a lie (later in the conversation). Just watch and you will notice it too.
The Ten Commandments don't say "Do not lie."

ReplyDeleteSo what?
Neither does Title 18, United States Code, Section 1001.
But if ever you find yourself a non-paying guest of some prison thanks to Section 1001, you can console yourself with the good news, "At least I didn't break one of the Ten Commandments."
See?
